Nothing makes us feel quite as patriotic as the Supreme Court's decision to legalize gay marriage (Ed Note: currently referred to as, simply, marriage) during this week of of July 4th. This week's installment of Flashback Friday is a piece residing at Siegelson of NYC, featuring rubies, sapphires, yellow diamonds, and enamel. Made in 1938 by jeweler Paul Flato, this beauty reads 'Verbum Carro.' Most recently this text has been translated to mean ' A Word To My Dear One.' And finally, in our great United States, that should mean anybody. Happy Independence Day, everyone, to you and whomever you hold dear!
